Adnan Mairaj Malik born in 1987 is a Karachi-Lahore based Visual artist, curator, art educator and researcher. He graduated in 2011 from the Department of Visual Studies, University of Karachi major in Fine arts. He has an MA (hons) in Visual Art from NCA, Lahore, and traditional practice course in miniature painting (Mughal) with Ustad Bashir Ahmed in 2016. He was the Charles Wallace scholar of 2017 to study at the prestigious Prince’s Foundation School of Traditional Arts, London. He has a post graduate certificate in International Heritage Conservation, from Boston College of Architecture 2019.
He recently completed USEFP training on Capacity building of Academic leadership in Advance Research, Teaching Methodologies and Services provision organized by KUST and University of Kentucky, 2022.
Malik has exhibited his work nationally and internationally. He was the recipient of the State Bank Museum Artist Residency 2021, Karachi.
He was one of the winners of the Faiz National Award titled 'Postcards to Faiz' 2011.
He has a strong command in working in a number of mediums and also works as a free-lance illustrator.
He is currently teaching at the Department of Art and Design Education M.Phil. Program at PIFD, Lahore. He also taught at NCA and KSA.
